samara_pavodok.jpgThe branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the Rosseti Group) - Samara Distribution Grids held an emergency response training to test the actions of the management bodies and the commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations in conditions of a sharp increase in the flood waters level.

In this regard, due to the intensive melting of snow, there was a rise in the water level in rivers and reservoirs of the Samara Region and flooding zones of power grid facilities were formed. According to the training, branch facilities located in the flood zone, not only in the urban district of Samara, but also throughout the region, which led to the disconnection of power distribution stations and 10 / 0.4 kV transformer substations. There was a fall of the supports of overhead lines of 35 and 110 kV. Thousands of region residents and socially significant objects remained without power supply. The Committee for Emergency Response and Ensuring Fire Safety was immediately assembled in the Samara branch of IDGC of Volga. Power engineers have identified the causes of technological disturbances, the place of falling supports and breakage of power lines. Emergency Response and Restoration Teams, provided with all the necessary materials and equipment, were sent on sites. samara_pavodok2.jpg

Socially significant facilities were immediately connected to the backup power supply sources, some consumers were transferred to the backup power supply scheme. Interaction with Samara region administrations and Public Safety Answering Points of municipal districts is organized. Communication systems, including video communication of mobile control points, have been established. All the measures taken to eliminate technological disturbances were carried out within the established time limits. Emergency response training is part of a set of measures aimed at ensuring the stable operation of power equipment and preventing technological disturbances during the spring flood. In each production division of branch the list of electric grid facilities at risk was updated. A schedule of weekly and, if necessary, round - the-clock inspections of risk areas has been developed and responsible persons have been appointed. Information on forces and means that can be involved in responding to emergency situations during the flood is updated. All teams are provided with the necessary tools and means of protection.

The branch emergency reserve is checked. Mobile emergency power supply (RIES) were prepared. In addition, interaction with the regional authorities of Roshydromet, EMERCOM of Russia in the Samara region and the authorities was provided in order to obtain predictions about the time and expected nature of the spring flood. Power engineers remind residents of the region that due to the spring flooding, there is a possibility of power facilities flooding (power lines, substations, transformer substations, package transformer substations) with flood waters, which in turn leads to an increase in risks and danger of electric shock. To prevent electrical injuries, security measures should be respected. If damage to power lines is detected, please call the hotline at 8 (846) 339-35-74 or at the power distribution zone at the place of detection.
