dsc_8604_1.jpgAs part of the implementation of the main activities for the development of smart metering and the introduction of digital technologies that are part of the Digital Transformation 2030 concept, power engineers of the IDGC of Volga, PJSC branch (included in the Rosseti Group) - Samara Distribution Grids plan to install over 21,000 meters for commercial and technical metering of electricity.

The work on installing smart metering devices in such an unprecedented volume is carried out by Samara power engineers for the first time. The so-called "smart" metering devices is one of the first stages of the transition to a digital network. They will allow to automate the system of work with consumers, remotely control and monitor the operation of the device itself, receive data on meter readings remotely, i.e. without taking meter readings by the personnel of the distribution company and the consumer himself. In addition, the use of smart metering devices can significantly reduce energy losses in grids.

As part of the investment project for 2019, it is planned to install over 21,000 smart metering devices, including as part of the implementation of the energy service contract. Smart meters will be installed both at consumers and at points of interconnection of power facilities for technical metering. Power engineers pay attention: the consumer does not bear any costs, as the smart meter is installed free of charge, at the expense of the distribution company.
