tekplovizor.jpgThe specialists of Privolzhsky Production Department (PD) of the Saratov Distribution Grids branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of the Rosseti group) continue to conduct thermal imaging surveys of substations (SS) and overhead transmission lines.

The next monitoring object was Technologicheskaya 110 kV SS. The substation provides power supply to the infrastructure facilities of the city of Engels. The survey was carried out to clarify the scope of the upcoming scheduled repair.

In preparation for the upcoming autumn-winter period of 2018-2019, power engineers will repair four 110 kV circuit breakers, two 110 kV isolators and short-circuiting switches, two power transformers and 6 kV closed switchgear equipment at Technologicheskaya 110/6 kV SS.

This year, power engineers of the Privolzhsky PD will conduct a thermal imaging survey of 81 overhead transmission lines, 35 35-110 kV substations and 316 Packaged Transformer Substations.

In addition to thermal imaging devices, the personnel of IDGC of Volga, PJSC uses equipment operating in the ultraviolet range. It became widely used in the collection of information on the technical condition of overhead transmission lines. The application of non-destructive technologies of equipment testing is one of the elements of increasing the effectiveness of creation and implementation of repair programs for power grid facilities.
